Plans are in motion for Ireland based substrate producer, Bulrush Horticulture, as it lays the groundwork to increase capacity and meet the growing demand for peat-free growing media.
Ahead of what the substrate producer predicts to be a busy season next year, Bulrush is moving forward with its plans to expand its operations through a “significant investment”, positioning itself as a reliable supplier for the industry.
Bulrush sales director, Alex Julien comments on the investment, saying it has been an “extremely busy year for [the company] so far.”
He goes on to say: “following the acquisition and upgrade of a new coir processing plant in recent years”, the company has continued to reinvest back into the business and now “some big things” are in the pipeline, “which will come to fruition in time for next year.”
Bulrush Horticulture says this latest round of changes and developments form part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy and commitment to all levels of growers.
The company is investing across the board – in technology, people, and facilities – all of which will help increase its output.
Julien affirms that the company is “well-set-up for next year” and is prepared to meet the growing demand for peat-free products, along with any seasonal surges.
