A new professional battery-powered blower has hit the market from German kit manufacturer Stihl.

The BGA 250 is “the world’s most powerful handheld battery-powered blower throughout the full battery charger” thanks to its ability to maintain full power whilst the battery discharges.

It’s lighter than its BGA 86 counterpart at 2.7kg – with the battery located inside the tool directly under the handle for balance and manoeuvrability – and has a higher blowing output of 26N. Speed level controls allow the user to select the maximum blowing force and boost mode.

Other features include an LED power display, a cruise control function, a nozzle with a shallow bend which directs the ‘push back’ force through the handle, and an IPX4 rating.

The BGA 250 is also compatible with STIHL’s Smart Connector 2 A, a device that plugs directly into the control module and collects working time and maintenance information.
