Makita launches its first robotic mower

by | 12 Jul 24 | Grounds Maintenance, Supplier News

Power tool supplier, Makita, continues to expand its range with the launch of its first ever robotic mower.

Offering automatic mowing and charging, the new RM350D Robotic Mower affords 3,500m2 lawn and 26° slope coverage.

Designed to mow lawns and recharge automatically on its dedicated charging station, the RM350D’s cutting height can also be adjusted from 20-60mm in 5mm increments.

Cutting grass into small pieces and leaving them behind on the lawn to act as a natural fertiliser, the mower comes equipped with four brushless motors to drive the blades and power the machine.

Users are able to adjust boundary wires and guides without the need for an app, as well as scheduling times, leaving the mower to autonomously run and charge, when needed.

Matt Chilton, product manager at Makita UK comments on this latest launch, saying:

“Thanks to battery operation, not only it is quieter, but also more environmentally friendly…It’s easy to set up and totally autonomous, meaning professionals can take care of other work on site while the robot takes care of the lawn.”

The RM350D Robotic Mower joins Makita’s growing battery powered outdoor range with the likes of the 40VMax XGT LM003G and LM004G cordless lawn mowers and the 40VMax XGT UV001GZ cordless scarifier, which all launched earlier this year.
