Supplier of landscaping materials, Green-tech is supporting a local primary school with the donation of a range of materials.

Earlier this month, Green-tech delivered and installed a variety of materials to the Great Ouseburn Community Primary School in North Yorkshire, in an effort to revitalise several key areas within the school grounds.

The donation included 110 large bags (two pallets) of Scotbark Playbark, one of which was donated by Scotbark. It has been installed to create a cleaner and more inviting space for the children to enjoy.

Headteacher at Great Ouseburn Community Primary School, Nick Oswald, says there has been a noticeable uptake in the use of the school’s Early Years outdoor learning space since the bark delivery.

Additionally, Green-tech donated 2.4m sleepers, Green-tree topsoil, and enough John Chambers Dual Purpose Wildflower Seed Mix to cover 65 square metres at the front of the school to create a ‘mini-meadow’ in the site’s front garden.

The space now also has a planting pit whereby students can grow plants, fruit and flowers. Alongside the other upgrades made, Green-tech’s managing director, Kris Nellist says they hope the changes will “encourage environmental stewardship from an early age.”
