The Xtend, range of contemporary garden buildings from Forest Garden, the UK’s largest manufacturer of timber garden products, accommodates the needs of people looking for a quiet and organised office space at home.

It can separate family and working life without the cost, time and complexity of building an extension. These new buildings have everything one could wish for in a home office ‐ contemporary looks, real energy efficiency, ease of construction and keen pricing, all backed by a 15‐year structural warranty.

Xtend buildings from Forest Garden are made with pre‐cut Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs). The unit arrives as a series of flat panels, each complete with in‐built insulation and the interior and exterior cladding is then added on site. Many modern houses are now built using this modular system and applying it to a garden building means the new space can be as energy efficient as a new build home.

All Xtend units are not only ideally suited to be garden offices but also offer multi‐functional, practical square footage that can be personalised for a variety of uses; from exercise and hobbies to entertaining and relaxation and all at a fraction of the price of an extension. The interior tongue and groove cladding arrives already primed, ready for the perfect colour to be added, to suit your unique outdoor room.

The uPVC windows are double‐glazed and the roof covered with 1.2mm black rubber, which won’t crack, split or rot and has a 50‐year guarantee.

There are six buildings in the range. The Xtend 2.5 is the smallest and has a single door and full length fixed pane window to the front and full length ¼ opening side window. The largest model, the spacious Xtend 4.0+, has double doors and full length ½ opening window to the front and full length ½ opening side window.

Planning permission should not normally be required but customers should check with their local planning office if unsure. Forest Garden’s Base Preparation guide will also be useful. A qualified electrician should set up power for the Xtend building.

The buildings are designed for straightforward assembly by anyone proficient in DIY or by a locally sourced builder or carpenter.
