Environmental consultancy, Tyler Grange, named SME Employer of the Year at the InsideOut Awards 2024.
The annual award, supported by the InsideOut LeaderBoard Charity and Wellbeing@Work Summits, recognise and celebrate excellence in promoting mental health, wellness and overall wellbeing.
Tyler Grange was awarded the accolade for its mental health and wellbeing programme over the last 12 months, which focuses on recovery and preventative solutions.
On top of a four-day work week, with no loss of benefits or pay, Tyler Grange also has in-house psychologists, resilience consultants and mindfulness coaches.
All employees work with mentors and have access to BACP accredited counseling, paid for by the firm.
Jon Berry, managing director of Tyler Grange, comments on the firm’s most recent win, saying that space to prioritise wellbeing is essential.
“It’s important to recognise that any of us can end up in that place where we’re struggling, so we’re doing everything we can to help prevent it.”
Around 15% of those employed across England experience symptoms of poor mental health, and an estimated one billion people globally suffer from anxiety.
Poor mental health costs UK employers up to £45bn a year and over £100bn for the overall economy.
Berry also features in the July issue of Pro Landscaper, where he discusses how the firm has come to be “healthier, happier and more productive”.
Tyler Grange has also been awarded a Living Wage Employer accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation and was named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024.
