Launched at FutureScape 2023, the Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards highlight the future of landscaping.

These awards are on a mission to showcase the most important innovation and initiatives across the UK landscaping sector, from design, to construction, to product supply and manufacturing. We look for great stories of environmental impact reduction and of those working towards a more sustainable future for the planet.

We caught up with some of the inaugural winners to find out the benefits of entering these awards what we can expect to see from them over the coming year.

  • How has winning the award benefitted your business?

Winning this award has brought attention to our sustainable, biodiverse rich working practices and created social media interest.

  • Have you noticed any differences?

Unfortunately, it may be too early to say as yet, but we will definitely be mentioning it in RFPs and new business presentations, as it is an independent acknowledgement of our sustainable and biodiversity credentials.

  •  Why did you enter the Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards?

To increase our company profile, and proudly showcase our market leading chemical free, sustainable, biodiverse rich working practices, which challenge the industry status quo.

  • Why do you believe the awards are so important?

As this is the inaugural year for these awards, it sends a clear message of the importance of sustainability and biodiversity. This is especially true post the lockdowns, which brought about a seismic shift in the way green spaces are considered, and Q&S is proud to be a forefront of this shift.

  •  What have the biggest challenges been across the last year?

Recruitment, for various reasons, but rather than focus on them we need to rethink how we engage with schools, colleges, charities, and proactively educate everyone we can on the benefits of working within landscaping, and the multitude of career paths there are to create interest in the industry for the future

  •  What are you most looking forward to for the year ahead?    

Opportunities to continue to share Q&S’ enthusiasm for and expertise in sustainability & biodiversity. Generally, there is a positive buzz in the air, which makes it an exciting time to be involved in landscaping.

  • Any new developments within the company?

We’re looking to move offices due to expansion – there are a lot of exciting plans in the pipeline!

  •  Would you recommend entering an award with Pro Landscaper?

  Definitely, we have found it to be a positive experience.
