Scunthorpe-based landscaping solutions provider Talasey has introduced a new team of merchant support managers as part of a plan to increase support efficiency to its merchant customers.

The team is comprised of six managers operating throughout the UK who will work to ensure that Talasey product ranges such as Natural Paving, Vitripiazza and Piranha are displayed in up-to-date points of sale and offering the “best opportunity” to showcases there ranges to customers.

Each manager will also be on hand to deliver localised basic product training, attend merchant-own trade shows, and signpost higher level training courses at Talasey’s Training Academy.

Talasey’s technical and training manager, Lavinia Dowson, says: “We already have a team of Area Sales Managers who are very proactive visiting our merchants and being their first point of contact – but as our business continues to grow, we have spotted a gap to introduce an additional layer of support.

“Because of their visibility, MSMs will become a key contact for merchants alongside our team of Areas Sales Managers. And of course our head office support teams are also on hand to offer different areas of expertise and merchant support too.”

The introduction of merchant support managers follows the recent appointment of three new members to its senior management including a director of strategy & proposition, marketing director and national sales manager.
