Specialist landscaping company, AC Landscapes and Treeworks has been acquired, saving the company from administration and with it over 30 jobs.
Based in Devon, the company operates across the North West, North East, Midlands and South West of the UK. It holds a number of long term frameworks with National Highways, providing vegetation management, landscaping and arboricultural consultancy services across the strategic highways and electricity distribution sectors.
Consultancy company, Begbies Traynor confirmed the deal after partner, Gary Lee and regional managing partner, Paul Stanley, were appointed as joint administrators of the landscaping company on Friday 14 June.
The company has now sold the business as a going concern to an unconnected third party, saving 34 jobs and enabling it to fulfil its existing contracts.
Gary Lee, partner at Begbies Traynor, says: “The acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for the purchaser expanding its existing presence in the strategic highways sector and providing additional capability to support the water sector with the implementation of nature-based solutions.”
AC Landscapes and Treeworks is recognised with accreditations from the Arboricultural Association, and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service. More information can be found at www.aclandscapes.co.uk.
