Kebur Garden Materials, Farnborough, awards £3000 worth of garden materials to three local projects, boosting wellbeing benefits for people and wildlife.
Tens of applications were submitted, but the judging panel – which included broadcaster Peter Gordon – awarded the top spot to a wellbeing garden at the Fountain Centre in Guildford.
The Centre is entitled to use £2000 worth of vouchers for landscaping materials from Kebur, such as stone chippings, timber and compost, to support in the creation of the new multi-use space.
Kebur Garden Materials also offered £500 worth of free materials to both The Ferns Primary Academy in Farnborough (for a fruit and vegetable garden), and Brickfields Nature Reserve in Aldershot (for outdoor seating).
All three winning projects were commended by judges for the benefits the trio bring to the local community and wildlife, says Kebur business partner, Jo Holton.
“We know that access to outdoor space can make a huge difference to our wellbeing. That is why our family business has been donating to community projects for over fifteen years.”
Judges also noted the progress already made in getting the Fountain Centre project plans off the ground.
Awards were donated in collaboration with the Community Matters Partnership.
