The Environment Agency is seeking contractors for a vegetation management, landscape, and habitat creation lot, within a framework contract.
As part of the tender for the Asset Operation Maintenance and Response (AOMR) Framework, the Environment Agency is inviting tenders for the supply of vegetation management, general landscape works, establishment maintenance and habitat creation services across its 14 operational areas in England. The works and establishment aftercare include vegetation management associated with the EAs assets, landscape and habitat creation including tree planting schemes linked to capital works, for carbon offsetting and Biodiversity Net Gain.
The AOMR Framework contract notice was published on the 10th July and can be found on Find a Tender service and on Contracts Finder.
Bids can be submitted for any of the Environment Agency’s operational areas, but successful suppliers will only be appointed to a maximum of 5 areas. Contracts will be let through area call-off arrangements. The agency wishes to attract a wide range of landscape contracting companies of varying scales with the appropriate area-based experience and resource capacity.
The framework agreement which will allow the Environment Agency to procure these services in a more streamlined and cost-effective way.
The workload for the Landscape and Habitat Creation element within the AOMR Framework contract is estimated to be up to £18.3 million, spread across the 14 Areas over 4 years. The framework is scheduled to go live on 1st April 2024.
The first stage of the procurement is for suppliers to complete a Selection Questionnaire (SQ). The deadline for submission of the SQ is Monday 21 August at 12 noon. Following shortlisting of the suppliers, the Environment Agency will issue an Invitation to Tender.
