The winners have been revealed for Pro Landscaper’s small project BIG IMPACT Awards 2022, partnered with Provender Nurseries. The ceremony took place last night at FutureScape, the UK’s leading landscaping trade event which continues today at the ExCeL London.
Nine category winners were announced, including for two new categories for this year: International Garden Under £35,000 and Best Use of Technology Under £20k.
The ultimate award of Supreme Winner went to The Floating Deck by Adam Vetere Landscape and Garden Design, which judges called: “A fantastic response to a significant problem bringing the garden into use and removing the safety concerns. High quality finish to all aspects of the project.”
Pro Landscaper’s Joe Wilkinson says: “It’s fair to say that the quality of entries has increased again this year, which is a testament echoed by this year’s judges.
“Each year, we showcase these schemes on the lower end of the value scale. These projects show a skill and creativity that is often trickier to execute due to budget restrictions, time pressures and rising material costs, but the technical ability always comes to the fore.”
This year’s awards were judged by some of the leading names across the industry: expert witness Gareth Wilson, Mark Draper of Graduate Gardeners, garden designer Helen Elks-Smith, Liz Hughes of Provender Nurseries, Lewis Normand of Bernhard’s Nurseries, James Scott of The Garden Company, Alistair Bayford of Maylim, Brian Herbert of Outdoor Options, and Pro Landscaper’s own Lisa Wilkinson.
Richard McKenna, managing director of awards partner Provender Nurseries, says: “Provender Nurseries is delighted to sponsor Pro Landscaper’s small project BIG IMPACT Awards this year. It is an excellent opportunity for companies that often work under the £35k threshold to highlight and celebrate their work in these prestigious awards.
“We feel that raising the profile of this size of project is important to both established and new, upcoming businesses in the landscape, design and horticultural industry as a whole.”
